In Ghana, “one corner” is slang for a mystery location that the speaker may be reluctant to disclose exactly. It’s almost akin to a hide away or open secret. For example; one might be overheard saying: “I’m just waiting out the rush hour traffic at one corner in Kokomlemle” in order to save themself describing their exact location in Kokomemle.
It can also refer to a place of refuge or safe space if you will. You might hear it used in this way as well: “I was sitting in my one corner not looking for anybody’s trouble when it all went down”
